Kiawah Islandmore info
DesignWorks has played an integral role in the transformation, over the last twenty years, of Kiawah Island into a world class resort and destination. For the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, DesignWorks designed the grounds of the Sanctuary Hotel, the crown jewel of the resort and Club Houses for the Ocean Course, Turtle Point and Osprey Point golf courses. Most recently, DesignWorks assisted in the design of two resort pool and recreation centers. For the private Kiawah Island Club, DesignWorks designed Club Houses for the River Course and Cassique golf courses. DesignWorks planned and helped design Freshfields, the shopping village located near the entry to Kiawah and assisted in the design of many residential enclaves throughout the island. For the Kiawah Island Community Association, DesignWorks assisted in the design of the main entry gates, the main spine road for the entire island and several smaller park and recreation areas. In addition, DesignWorks has created gardens for over 100 homes throughout the island, including the historic Vanderhorst Plantation House.
